Applications are invited from Indian Nationals fulfilling the following eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Sc (Nursing) course at Assam Oil College of Nursing and GNM course at Assam Oil School of Nursing atIOCL (AOD), Digboi. Only Unmarried female candidates meeting the following criteria may apply.

1. B. Sc (Nursing)
No of seats: 30 [Unreserved-14, EWS-03, SC-02, ST-03, OBC-08]

2. General Nursing & Midwifery Course (GNM)
No of seats: 30 [Unreserved-14, EWS-03, SC-02, ST-03, OBC-08]

Course Duration: 

a) B. Sc (Nursing) course will be a full time regular course for a duration of 4 (four) years.
b) General Nursing & Midwifery Course (GNM) course will be a full time regular course for a duration of 3 (three) years.

Educational Qualification:

A. B.Sc (Nursing): HSSLC (i.e 10+2) with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English Core/English Elective with minimum aggregate of 50% Marks for General/EWS/OBC category and 45% Marks for SC/ST/PwBD category. The qualification should be from a Government recognized board under AHSEC/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.

B. General Nursing & Midwifery Course (GNM): HSSLC (i.e 10+2) with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English OR HSSLC (i.e 10+2) with Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science- Vocational stream ONLY, OR any other equivalent examination as per INC norms. The qualification should be from a Government recognized Board under AHSEC/AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE with minimum aggregate of 40% Marks for General/EWS/OBC category and 35% Marks for SC/ST/PwBD category. Preference shall be given to candidates possessing HSSLC (i.e 10+2) with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English.

Age: Minimum 17 years and Maximum 24 years as on 31/12/2019 (Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/ PwBD candidates as per presidential directives). Certificate issued by a Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation/Higher Secondary is the only acceptable document in support of proof of age.

Selection Methodology: Selection would be based on Written Test (90 minutes duration) and Personal Interview to be held at Digboi.

Stipend: 

A. B. Sc (Nursing) : The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year – Rs. 2,800/-; 2nd year – Rs. 3,000/- ; 3rd year – Rs. 3,200/-; and for 4th year – Rs. 3,400/-

B. General Nursing & Midwifery Course(GNM): The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year – Rs. 2,500/- ; 2nd year – Rs. 2,700/- ; 3rd year – Rs. 2,900/-.

* One candidate can apply for one course only, failing which her candidature shall be summarily rejected.

School Of Nursing, OIL Duliajan GNM Course 2019 : Admission Notice, Apply Online

Applications are invited from interested female candidates from Assam and Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh for admission in the three years General Nursing and Midwifery Course in the School of Nursing, Oil India Hospital-Duliajan for the session 2019-20.

Name of course: General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course 2019
No of seats: 30 [UR: 17, OBC/MOBC: 5, SC: 2, ST: 5, PWD: 1 (OH)]

Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply.
Age: Must be between 17-25 years on 31st December 2019 (Relax by 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of O.B.C./M.O.B.C and 10 years for Person with Disability (PWD) candidates).

Educational Qualification: Minimum 10+2 class passed from a recognised board in any stream with English and a minimum aggregate of 40% marks for General candidates (5% relaxation for SC/ST/O.B.C./M.O.B.C/PWD candidates). Preference will be given to candidates passed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit and will be finally selected for admission only after they are declared fit by the OIL medical board.

Selection Process: 

a) The eligible candidates will have to appear a written test. The pass mark in the written test is 45 percent for General candidates and 40 percent for SC/ST/O.B.C./M.O.B.C/PWD candidates.

The entrance test will comprise of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) and shall be set from the course of class X covering (a) General English (b) General Knowledge (c) General Science (d) General Mathematics.

The duration of the test will be 02.00 hours and total marks will be 100.The questions will be in English language. The candidates who qualify in the written test will be considered for selection on provisional basis based on merit in the written test.

b) Provisionally selected candidates will have to appear before a Board for original document verification and medical examination. If two or more candidates.

Selected candidates for admission will be required to undergo one year compulsory post qualification practical training following completion of GNM Course in the company managed health and medical units. They must complete their full training period (including one year compulsory practical training); otherwise the cost incurred on them during the course has to be refunded if they discontinue their course/training of their own.

How to apply: Online application form shall be available at website www.dugnm.in from 22/07/2019 (12 Mid Night) to 11/08/2019 (12 Mid Night). So, interested  candidates are advised to submit the application within stipulated period only. Online application must be filled up after carefully going through Instructions given along with the form in the website.
