Applications are Invited in the DHE's prescribed format (No. DHE/PA/4/2017/24 Dt. 20-12-2017) from candidate having latest UGC norms for the sanctioned post of Assistant Professor in Economics - 01 post (ST-P) in the revised UGC scale of pay.

Age: The upper age limit of the candidates as on 01.01.2019 is 38 years which Is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST candidate. The candidate must have at least 55% marks at Master Degree Level (50% for SC/ST candidate).
Educational Qualification: The applicants must also possesses NET/SLET/SET on the date of submission of application. Those candidate who are awarded Ph.D. in accordance with the UGC. (Minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) Regulation, 2009 are exempted from the requirement of the condition of NET/SLET/ SET.
In service candidates should apply through proper channel with NOC from the competent authority. The candidate must be permanent resident of Assam and should know the local language.
